It is easy to feel dejected and helpless when it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic. The news tells us mostly negative stories: the economy is tanking, x number of people have died today, hospitals are overwhelmed and so on.

I’m trying to stay positive and instead of spending all my time feeling useless, I’ve been thinking about what could we do to make it easier? How can we support small businesses? How could I put my skills to good use?

If you’ve been thinking the same, here are a couple of things you can do.

1. Have mad skills but don’t know where to start? Join a hackathon or an existing project

Techstars is hosting a Global Startup Weekend to fight COVID-19 in partnership with Google for Startups. The hackathon is run at country level so pick the country you are from/ reside in and take part. Dates vary.
